A friend gave me a very simple pattern..cast on an uneven number of stitches, the width you want the blanket to be. I used cotton yarn and size 6 needles. I crocheted a shell stitch around the blanket. The pattern is k3,p3 across. You will end with one stitch you just do it in K or P what ever is next. The second row is the VERY same as the first k3,p3. I am going to try to put up a picture with this..Joyce I also will put up a picture of the "calorimetry" (head scarf) that I knit for one of my granddaughters.

What a cute blanket. I'd like to use the pattern (if I may) for charity baby blankets. Looks nice and warm and love the crochet edging. Nice work.
That is fine with me, I was given the pattern and I am glad you will be using it for charity. I am giving mine to a couple having their first baby soon.
