Hi everyone, I saw a photo in Hello magazine of Liv Tyler leaving hospital with her new baby. The baby's carrier was draped in a beautiful crocheted blanket. I would love the pattern. Anyone recognise it or have the pattern?? Many thanks, Miriam

All crochet is handmade....cannot be done by machine as knitting!

Try "The Harmony Guide to Crochet" at your local library. It looks like a combination of fan and trellis patterns.

I don't think I have ever seen that blanket pattern. That pattern stitch is better suited for a shawl pattern as opposed to a baby blanket. Check out the ladies shawls at Kohls and find something similar . They sell a lot of handmade crochet items, that are done in 3rd world countries for pennies on the dollar.
And it's done in a chain stitch mainly, chain and single . There's also a three Row shell, that's done intermittently, throughout the project . The blanket itself is turned upside down and its very hard to see that pattern, but it's there .

I found this shell pattern and it is close to the picture. However, I would do it As follows:in the bottom row instead of DC ,make hdc at the bottom,dc, ch1,on 2nd row and 2dc cluster decrease at center, dc,ch 1to the next chain 5.for the 3 row make a chain 5 , and sc to match up with your pattern.Clear as mud?
