I need a knitting pattern that uses bulky weight yarn for an infant. Everything I have seen is for a 6 month. The yarn is not super bulky. I am not good with substituting yarn but I've already made booties with this yarn and want to make a hat to match.

I make a rectangle-and sew up the back seam-usually add shell stitch around face part...run a ribbon or chained cord around the bottom to use for a tie--rustic, warm and FAST. if it is a newborn probably 18 stitches of bulky yarn-=-you can adjust as needed--I do not know how to read patterns but have made many things just using imagination..so far no complaints--but many requests
