As it says I'm looking for a basic, easy crochet pattern for a scarf prefer a double crochet if possible with 4mm hook and I would like a pretty one, thanks boys and girls

Hi to Northern Ireland from an Irish American in New Jersey, USA. You don't need a pattern to make a very interesting and simple double crochet scarf. Choose the width and length you prefer and just double crochet in the back of the stitches across each row. Turning each time is what creates the texture in the fabric. It works up very fast, too. Give it a try with scrap yarn and you'll see what I mean. Happy Hookin'!
