I'm going to knit a hat for my father with a verigated "camoflage" colored yarn. He would not like a rolled brim. Which do you think would be better for the brim: seed stitch or rib (k2p2)?

Ribbed stitch is typical and most men are pretty conservative in their tastes.

Craftsy"s email today has a pattern for a brim hat for a man really cute. I think it is seed stitch with a stiff material in the brim.
