Since I am not able to upload pictures on KP with my iPad, I asked an Apple tech why.....he told me to write to the KP administrator with the same question, which I did.
The reply was that the iPad browser does not support the upload function.
Admin also wrote that there are apps I could use to make this happen.
Does anyone out there use one of these apps?
If so, can you please tell us which one and whether you are happy with the way it performs?

Actually, as usual, the Apple tech was very helpful.....problem is, most of the info he shared with me was over my head so I didn't dare try to relay that info here in KP.......I'm sure I would have messed it up terribly!

I think the differences are in the operating systems. Most programming is written for Windows, not for Mac which is what runs the iPad and iPhone. No one is at fault, it's just the way it is.
Some videos will not play on my iPad for the same reason. Then I have to go boot up the beast at the computer desk.

Seems the IPad has no file system. Apps work sometimes but not always, it seems, from researching it.

I like "how to geeks for I Pad" just google them, plus you get an email with additional info daily.
Sometimes you have to spend time searching but lots of help.

Jill2: In order to upload from ipad to KP you must first transfer your photos from ipad to your computer and upload from there. I'll do some research to see if there is an app that would upload directly from the ipad but don't hold your breath. BTW, I use an ipad2. What version is yours?

That's what I have been doing....transferring from ipad to desktop...but it would be so much more convenient to do it directly from ipad.
I have ipad2 also.
KP admin did say that there were apps that could make this happen.

Jill2 - are you ready to try out a few options. If so try this and see if it works.
Go to "FlickrStackerExplore" OR "PhotoBucket" both are free downloads. Download them to your ipad. Then take a picture with your ipad and upload to one of those two websites. After you have uploaded your picture, go to the KP site and see if you can upload the picture from one of those websites to the KP website. Let me know what happens, if it works or not. I'd do it myself but I'm in the middle of entering data into a data base and can't leave that work for long or I'll get lost. In any event, let me know what happens or even if you decide not to try it.

ladylavender....I tried photobucket....uploaded a picture to their site....but, when using IPad, I click on "add new attachment" here on KP, the "choose file" button is not highlighted. ???

I'm thinking that KP needs to make some changes so that they are IOS compatible....(don't ask me what that means....I haven't a clue, but it's what the Apple tech told me to ask KP... )

There are Apple versions of Windows operating systems so no reason why you cannot upload pics. I run Apple products and have successfully uploaded pics to this site. I think the Apple version of Windows can be down-loaded but not sure at what $$ cost, or if free. Good luck.

Jill2 . . . I will ask but as I indicated, the postings from the iPad were to other sites, not KP. He lives 300km from us so I will need to have a written explanation from him whenever he gets around to it. Please don't hold your breath. Have you a local Apple IT specialist you are able to discuss this with? If so, they may well be able to demonstrate how to post pics from the iPad. Another solution may be to use the "contact us" on the Apple website and email them your query.
