Thanks to the sweet Lo'L for sharing this great website and pattern with me. I loved her hat (pattern #27), so that is the one I knitted for my friend whose hair is just coming back in after undergoing chemo. The website is http://www.headhuggers.org/patterns/patterns.htm

I also loved the interchangeable crocheted flower idea posted by knitwitgma

I decided to add a clear button so that it could also be worn without any flower if she chooses to do that. I made it in a neutral color that she can change up by adding the different colored flowers. I plan to give it to her Sunday. Hope she likes it!

That is such a wonderfully veratile set and she will love it. The clear button is a great idea..... The ribbing will let it adjust, no matter how much hair she has later.... What a thoughtful gift...

What a wonderful gesture and gift for someone who has had to have chemo treatments. Your work is lovely and I am sure will be appreciated!! Great choice of colors and nice idea of changeable flowers.
