Does anyone have an idea as to how to make the sizings that are etched on each needle easier to read? I always have to find my knitting gauge and use that... I thought of rubbing it with black marker and then wiping them down but I'm afraid that it won't come off.

I agree, the print is pretty small. Maybe keep a little magnifying glass in your knitting bag? I always double check with a 'needle card' to make sure.

I sometimes have to use jewelers loop. It covers one eye with big magnification.

I have a magnifier Ap on my iPhone that I use, or my needle gauge when I can’t read the size. Some days they are easier to read than others. 😉
I don’t know if my iPhone has a magnifier app; I just aim the camera at (whatever’s hard to read), and enlarge to legibility.

By the time I manage to read the etched size on a needle I could have used a gauge and already gotten started knitting. Maybe I'm just too lazy to bother with messing around since I always have my needle gauge handy.
that's me too

I used a Command brand hook on an end table to keep a couple needle gauges nearby, so I don’t have to hunt for them. When away from my knitting chair, I use my tablet the same way others describe using their phones. I don’t use a magnifying app, I just open “camera” and rarely even take a picture, I just focus and enlarge the image until I can read what I need. It works well on medicines and anytime there is microscopic print.

Thank you, I didn’t even think of my phone. 🤦🏻‍♀️. I just went in and found I could add to utilities. It is even better than my little hand held magnifier. So clear to see those tiny numbers.

I have a needle holder I got from Knit Picks several years ago. I used my label maker to mark the size needles that go into each slot. I'm very careful to replace my needles whenever I'm finished using them. That said I do keep both a needle sizer and magnifying glass with my knitting things.
