Not new, but usually well received: hats, mittens, texting mittens, cowls, scarves headbands ..... maybe done in a new and interesting design or stitch pattern. For the (little) kiddies ... amigurumi .... teddybears, dinosaurs, bunnies, dolls

My daughter knitted me a wonderful twisted headband/ear warmers. Every time I wear it my friends love it, so I’m making several for them as Christmas surprises. My daughter just sent me the pattern.

This made me laugh! My knitting group had me dig out my grandmothers pattern for a
Toilet paper doll dress to make for 2020 gag gifts. Several have knitted some.
