I have a design that I would like to knit on a scarf. The design is on a grid pattern, but I know that if I just use that, the length of the stitches will be different and will " compact" the design so as to not look quite right. Is there a place I can go to do a conversion for the stitches?

Thanks to all you experts. You have helped me so much in the past.

Use knitting graph paper and transfer your design on to that.

There are many sites where you can print different sizes of graph paper. One is http://www.theknittingsite.com/knitting-graph-paper/
