Here are two recently completed cowls I knit using one skein of sock yarn. The pattern is called
”Copilot” . I changed it a bit, I thought it was too long, so I only cast on 200 stitches. . I also have one in progress.

Pretty colors. The lace must be fun to knit.
I prefer cowls to fit closer around the neck for warmth and esthetics. I make sure the number of stitches around the top edge is a couple of inches larger than a hat for ease of putting on. I don't like the weight around my neck or extra bulk under a jacket of a large loopy cowl.

Beautifully knitted cowls - I like the colors of yarn you picked. This has been on my 'would like to do' list for a long time and I may just have to bring it to the top. Of course I don't have sock yarn so may experiment with some other yarn I have
