Little beanie, a tea cosy not sure if she is a rabbit or a mouse!
And the little dogs that wait for me to finish and get their tea.

Your Joey is just darling! Can it be released after being bottle fed? Will it be wild or always tame?
After I found a suitable picture to compare to the tea cozy, as an animal person, I was concerned about the apparent splotchiness around the nose and mouth, which looked like some kind of injury to me. So I went searching for the story. It turned out the photo was from an LA Times archived article from 2009.

This little baby will never go back to the wild. It was born in the Belgrade zoo and the mother rejected it after a fright from an Emu. International aid in the form of kangaroo milk assisted in saving the joey's life. I was unable to find a follow up article but here is a link to the original story:

Gotta be a mouse, ears too short for a rabbit. Love tea cozys. Love the doggies.

AND, the ears are too big for a mouse. I have made a case it I think it could be a kangaroo joey.

Check out my comparative pictures at the top of page 2. See what you think.

They are adorable. Are they what we call in AU, silky terriers? Jane

No they are two separate breeds, I think the silky has a longer mussel.

The Australian Silky Terrier breed is a cross between the Australian Terrier and the Yorkshire Terrier:

While they are still small dogs, Silkies are generally larger than either Chi's or Yorkies.
