Crispy Cheddar Frico (Fried Cheese Crisps) ~ Serves 6
Ready in under 30 minutes
Simple cheese crisps made with just one ingredient: cheese!
A great low carb snack which can be eaten plain, topped with ingredients nacho-style, or used as crackers with dip.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions
In an 8-inch non-stick pan heated over medium-high heat add 1/4 cup shredded cheese. Cook until cheese is light brown on the bottom.
Turn over with a plastic spatula and continue cooking for another 10 to 15 seconds. Remove to a plate to cool.
Wipe pan and start again until all fricos are complete.
Nutrition ~ 114 calories, 9 grams fat, 0 grams carbohydrates, 7 grams protein per serving. This recipe is low in carbs.
