I have been looking at all the patterns for 11 1/2" fashion doll clothes using size 10 crochet thread. Are these beautiful gowns complicated to make? I have two dolls that need clothes and want to try this, maybe a wedding dress, or a Victorian gown. It might be fun to try something other than sweaters, for a change. BTW, how does one make a doll stand? The purchased ones do not work very well.

There are special stands for the small fashion dolls. Go to E-bay and do a search for Barbie stands. Viv

I have been searching for the fashion doll patterns. I did find two or three, but the really pretty ones are hard to get. I have seen dresses already made up, for big prices...not exactly what I want. On Amazon, I found doll stands specifically for the 11 1/2" fashion dolls, and placed an order.
Is it that these patterns and books are not so popular, these days?
I saw two, images only, that I wanted to try. One was a blue gown with the skirt made in the shell stitch, and the other had a skirt made in a pineapple pattern. However, there was no pattern nor leaflet listed.

Here is a site that has a lot of barbie and ken cloths knit patterns for free. I went into it and printed almost all of them. I do not know how to attach the web site but here is the address: www.stickatillbarbie.se/ Hope it works for you. Have fun. Sue
