Hi,
I wonder if anyone has a knitted pattern for mermaid tail cocoon with crocodile stitch. I have searched on the net and have had no luck and I can't crochet.

I must say I've only ever seen a crocheted crocodile stitch, but you never know, someone might know of a knitted one!

S_L_O_W !!! I'd have to have a LOT of love for someone to make anything bigger than a swatch in that stitch.

Thank you all for your quick response and help.
I did see the weeklystitich explanation unfortunately I need a pattern to make the cocoon. I am not experienced enough to make up a pattern.( how many stitiches and when to decrease etc)

Lillian, I've knitted two mermaid tail cocoon/blankets. I used the purchased pattern by Angie Hartley found on Ravelry. Work out the stitch on scrap yarn, and don't over-think it like I did when I first started the pattern! Hope that this helps! I made the first cocoon for my daughter's 30th birthday; when she was four-years-old, we had an inground swimming pool (no longer live at that house) and she thought that SHE WAS the LITTLE MERMAID! She's still a ham for the camera, as you can tell! LOL

I looked at these when I was getting one for my great niece......and decided to buy one because it didn't cost much more than the pattern.
