we have been suffering from Texas cabin fever. Two weeks ago temps hit triple digits, so it was too hot to go out. This week it has rained buckets nearly every day. We finally had a beautiful day on Friday so we headed out to Blanco. It's a sleepy little town and has been in a movie or two. We stopped first at a Buggy Museum. Not insects, but horse drawn conveyances of every size and shape. It was an odd little place. Some carriages had explanations but most did not. The building was an old barn and was chockablock full.

After lunch we visited Real Ale brewing for a brewery tour and a flight of craft beer. This company is a real success story, starting out small but growing fast. And the beer is great! The tour guide was a brewer and walked around sipping a glass of his own product.

l can sympathize. Here in San Antonio, it's been the same. First too hot to go out, then too muggy, and now too wet. Schools open tomorrow.
Not too far from Blanco. Sounds like a nice trip from here especially in spring when bluebonnets come out
