It is on her web site, under one of the headings at top, but sorry I forgot which one. She talks about last year's projects and what she wants to accomplish this year.
It's called knit one- bless two, and you get to choose which charity you want to bless your creation with. You have until May 31st to mail it in and there is a free mailing label form on the site if you sign up to donate something. I have a blanket that I meant to donate and never did, so I'm planning on making a hat and booties too. It really inspired me! I love her books and that she donates all her profits from her needlework items to charity.

I love her books too, and that her knitting books match her story titles, I have two of the knitting books and many of her novels. I usually donate to Warm Up America and a local shelter here but will look into her charity too and see what I can come up with.
Thanks for the heads up.

What a great idea. I love her books too and her movies. They were so good this year at Christmas time starring Doris Roberts. I really loved them. Will check this out since there isn't any place around here that you can donate anything like that to.
