Hello all,

Would anyone know what is the multiple for the Diamond Trellis Stitch? I really like this stitch and I saw it originally on Red Heart's website. Here's the pattern http://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW2931-corr.pdf.

I would really love to make it into a scarf, but I need to know what the multiple is.

No, it's for a crochet stitch. I apologize--I should've emphasized that it's a crochet stitch. Thanks for trying to help :thumbup:

Other than beginning it and working at least a few rows, I'm afraid I don't know how to calculate the repeat.

Thanks, all for your help. I figured that I would have to work a few rows. It would really be nice if the designer(s) would note multiples for those who want to more flexibility.

It just occurred to me that you could probably get away with swatching just part of the pattern. Say, just one repeat between the asterisks and then whatever follows the last one?

I went to that website. The only reason I wasn't sure to use it as a reference was because it doesn't show a picture of the stitch. Eventhough sometimes a website will mention a particular stitch, I would like to see the picture. But this may be it. Thanks.

Make a foundation chain in a multiple of 16 chain stitches (16, 32, 48, etc.). The exact number of stitches depends on your project, but the pattern repeats at 16.

I am pretty sure I used it on an afghan to join squares ..let me try to post a picture.

well I did a trellis stitch on a hat and it was multiples of 5 but it doesn't look like Camilla's... could you go back to the red heart site and try to find it??
