That was great. thank you. I will try that tonight. She sure made it look easy didn't she?
I noticed she slipped her first stitch also, but she slipped it purl wise. I thought the first stitch when knitting was done knit wise.

To the best of my recollection, slipping purl wise on the first stitch is standard; Patterns will direct you otherwise. If no instruction to start, slip as if to purl

You may slip in the body of the workk, too. Follow the patterns directions. If none, slip as if to purl.

Slipping gives the edge a '''lean to the left'''' or '''lean to the right''' advantage.

Slipping to the left leaves your stitch not twisted. Slipping to the right twists the yarn and is visible and used for certain applications.

Try over four stitches:

Slip 2 knit wise
Slip two purl wise.

You will see the 2 knits are twisted.

Good luck! LOL!

Yes, she made it look easy! LOL!! I loved trying it. Confession: First go, I got garter stitch. Two days later, I remembered it was stockinette, looked down in amazement at my garter stitch middle. Woah! So, I learned something + later found that you can do this on purpose if you want a garter stitch pattern in the middle. I thought I had invented something but a video on REVERSE double knitting proved me wrong! LOL!! Hubby laughed! ((;

AMAZING to me. I'd never seen this done before. I have saved it to rewatch and plan to try doing that. That is so neat. Thanks so much for putting it on here to watch
