I would say, if David Letterman can SAY downtown abbey, guess a spelling of said title isn't the worst thing that can come out of this piece, regardless, it appeals to some, others not. Having never watched myself, can't say, but I do know I really don't even read books that come from that era, guess I don't care about history?

I just stream it. I so love the dresses the women wear. They are total eye candy for me! I can't imagine someone dressing me though, or eating while wearing gloves!

My daughter-in-law bought me the first three dvd's after watching them my husband bought me the next three and an extra one on manners
. I loved the series and will watch it again come winter.I wish they would make another series of it and continue with family and the children as they grow. nanad

Really enjoyed that show, loved the clothing and the grandmother she had a great attitude. Enjoy.
