Have any KPers made fair isle hats on Knifty Knitter?

I haven't tried any fair isle projects yet but I'm working myself up to it, I think.

I haven't done any loom knitting. I didn't realize you could do fair isle on a loom.

I started Fair Isle sweaters...and have done socks... but not a hat as yet.

What is a Nifty Knitter? A loom of sorts? I have done a fair isle hat via a KAL that was going here a few months back. I am doing another one right now but on Ravelry as the designer moved over there. I would imagine that maybe you could translate a fair isle pattern to work with your loom.
