i am new to knitting and so far have knitted 4 scarfs. I am looking for some patterns ( not to difficult) on knitting felt bags.

This website has many free patterns, this link is for all types of bags and purses but if you scroll down you'll see Felted Bag patterns. I love making felted bags and started making them after I mastered scarf making LOL... I'm not a super knitter but I was able to figure out the bags fairly easy. Good Luck

thank you very much for the patterns for the bags. i am nervous about starting one. i have a question for you. can i use circular needles on a bag that says to sew up the sides to make it easier? i am not really sure what to do.

Try Etsy.com. They have a lot of patterns.

Yes you can use your circular needles. I use mine all the time, on everything although sometimes I use them just like regular needles. Just remember the St. St. is knit every row with circulars, and the garter st. is k a row, then p a row...opposite the way it is on regular needles.
