First I made my pattern on flap with basting thread. Then I hand stitched each of them with 4 strands of very fine embellishing thread. Then I went back through the beads 2 more times with using 4 strands(that makes each beads sewn with 12 strands) With the purse being felted I was able hide my stitches in the thinkness of the wool. That way my stitches don't show on the back side. I'm getting ready for a Fiber Festival April 29 & May 1..

Do you think this would look the same felted if knitted by hand? I would love a purse for me beaded and felted. I never thought of it hiding the beading thread when felted. Thanks for the tip. I have only felted a few large bags. I would love a small purse felted.
Have a great day.

I don't think it matters if its machine or hand knit, as long as its wool.
