Love it, I have been thinking about making one, but in Florida, my part anyway, I'm not sure, it was 31 degrees F, a couple of days ago, and yesterday it was 80 F, and today 85 F, and then in the low 40's, and then rain. I think
Yours will be a very colourful blanket! With those wild and abrupt colours changes to correspond with wild weather .....as opposed to gradual ones. The crazier the weather, the more interesting the blanket!

The squirrels stole my temp blanket. But this is Jan -- March 2019. Beads are for precipitation and birthdays/anniversaries. Location is northern Michigan near Traverse City. View attachment 1278746
I love that, and your colours just about sum me up, could be from my own wardrobe. Are you an Aquarius/Pisces?

Since there's not much change in temps most of the year, you can vary the number of degrees to change colors.
If it's done every 10 degrees then it will mostly be the same color, but if you make the change every 2-3 degrees during our hot months, you'll see the changes.

I love the colors! I’m making one for my son and daughter in law for a Christmas gift. I was wondering….for anyone who makes these….do you make a row with a contrasting color to separate the months? I was thinking maybe that contrasting color could be the color of the border.

I thought long and hard about that, in the end I just crocheted into half of a stitch on the First row of the month, the same as when you do a crocheted ribbing.
Make sure that if you do the same thing, that all of the flat stitch line are on the same side. So front loop of stitch or back loop of stitch, whichever the row calls for .
That row does show up even though I first thought it wouldn’t.
Look at the picture, the line is quite subtle but it does show up. I’m waiting until the end before I decide on the border colour.

White Green Blue Black Azure

Edited to change the last row to the FIRST.
Today, I tried it on the last row of February but it didn’t look right, it made it look as if I was a day short, so I think it needs to be done on the first day instead.

Thank you! That row does show! I’m new at crocheting, so this is truly an experiment for me!
