My tiny turtle crochet projects.

These were done using 6 strand cross-stitch thread and sized from left to right:

3mm hook, 2mm hook and a 1.5mm hook.

My newest one is on a 1.25mm hook and I am gradually working down the scale until I can use my 0.5mm. That's going to be quite the challenge.

My inspiration for the smaller ones are these 2 ladies over on Etsy:

Suami and Muffa

Their work is amazing.

Thank you for the compliments. I'm working on the 1.25mm at the moment and having to wear a pair of magnifying specs over my own. It seems to be working.

@Kacey - I'm hoping to be able to get down to 0.5mm which is the smallest hook I have. I need to invest in some crochet cotton before then, though, as I'm just using the old cross-stitch thread that I've got lying around.

What thickness would you recommend? I've never used proper thread I've tended to stick to wool in the past.
