What is a fly away cardigan?

This are the cardigans which have in front extra panels which hang down in different lenghts. It is hard to describe, if you google it on Penny's catalog you will see some pictures.

I very rarely knit others patterns so I have no idea what they would do - I would probably draw a sketch of what I want - look at a cardigan I had already knitted and work out how to extend the fronts the way I want them.

well I thought I could get a pettern and start on it immediately but no such luck.
I copied all the information from my daughter in law's cardigan so I should be fine.

I'm looking for something like that. I called it a flared cardigan. I wanted a pattern too so I could just get started and make it for a friend of mine....
