I don't mean for beginners... , I mean, these are the first items I have actually photographed and shown to people other than the recipients.
I had problems with the picture uploader, so I am putting my stuff into an album site and just putting the link here for all to see.
I do have a question though, as I haven't read through the whole forum yet.
If someone wants a pattern I have, do I need to type the whole thing out or can I just download onto my pc then upload the whole document?
Thanks for your time and apologies for my ignorance or rather, Impatience for not reading everything.

(((((((((( You can go several routes in pattern sharing. You should be able to up load in any of the categories here; I've heard that others are having problems doing so, too. I don't even bother but go another rout.e

I wouldn't type one out but copy and paste where possible + add the link. This can be done in an e-mail, too and I think it will add efficiency in several ways:

When I share a pattern with a member on forum, it's usually through private messages and perhaps into their isp e-mail address where I include the link (if possible) even if a pdf file (which has a link), pic, etc.,........then:

Copy and paste the ''''''text''''' pattern, also in the same document. I also cross post info, too to other groups at the same time.

I also EDIT the text pattern. If it's too horizontal, I make it more vertical in design using more paragraphing, too. Repeated sections are moved to vertical, also.

When in e-mail format, I enlarge and bold the font then add the pic, too, copy myself in on the send for filing in folders; It's going to groups, private crafters AND to my inbox & sent box in a web based address and if the pc crashes, I'll still have them should I no have backed up.

From folders (with a well worded subject line), I can sort by oldest and re-release a pattern a year or so later as we always get new members.

When the call comes in for a pattern, I'll remember if I have one and can sort by subject line and quickly find it.

I lose weight in groups, of course!! LOL! Go knitters and crocheters! LOL!!

HAND & L8R!

Your work is beautiful! Absolutely!

It is impossible to embrace every thread, just too much to take in at one time. One suggestion I might make is to click on "search" at the top of the page, and put in the field those words/subjects that are of interest to you. This feature is relatively new, and really good!
