It is worth a try. I have only seen ginger plants in Hawaii and they are lovely. Being a tropical thing you would have to treat it as a house plant, I should think. There is probably information on the internet about how to grow it.

Yes you can! Remember, it's the "root" that you want to harvest when it grows!! Fresh ginger is wonderful for you and in all types of foods! Happy eating!
