Good Morning ladies, just wanted to pop in and say hi to all and ask you all a question?

Do you ever get into the mood that you don't want to do anything but knit? Sometimes I spend the whole day knitting because I can not wait to see how my project turns out...

I have no patience sometimes...

Please tell me you are with me... lol

Every morning! I start the day by knitting for approx. 1-2 hrs. with a cup of coffee by my side. Then I begin my daily chores. Again, in the afternoon, I knit for about 2 hrs. and following supper, knit for about 3 hrs. That is my day, unless I have to work in the garden. Pretty full.♥♥♥!

I can only dream. One...I am too ADHD to sit still (so says my son) and have son and hubby and dogs and yard and garden and job-search and all the special stuff with son's upcoming graduation.(my youngest...yikes), Plan on knitting my way through empty-nest!!!!

Yes....I call them my wall to wall knitting weekends.....lol...so pleased someone else also experiences this mood...:)... or maybe it should be  cos I have to scrabble in the back of the wardrobe for clothes for work the next week, and all around my chair there are crumbs from toast or sandwiches that I have hastily made in my comfort breaks..... definitely...lol

I'm with you, I can't walk past it without picking it up, I usually get every thing done early and then I can knit or sew until I have to cook our main meal at 5:30 then I am straight back to it. x
Yes, this is me for sure, on a day off I get all my "chores" out of the way first, then sit for the afternoon and watch Dark Shadows (on dvd) and knit. I don't get up again till time to get dinner started.

Now that I'm no longer going to the office, I pretty much plan my day around my knitting...and it feels so good!

I usually knit a couple hours in the morning, trying to finish an afghan for my daughter before her June birthday. I have to do this in the morning while she's still asleep. Then noonish I try to get some chores done, or gardening, or whatever else I want. Then after dinner I work on other knit wips. ...go back to the afghan when daughter is at work. Ah, i love knitting!

I would love a day like that! With a full time job, part time job, 4 children, 2 dogs, 1 husband, 1 large house with 3acres to take care of, friends who request my presence at parties and activities, MY choice to enjoy other activities such as tennis, golf, swimming and skiing....I don't see a whole day of knitting in my near future, let alone a full hour!

I would say that some day I might have the luxury of an entire day to knit..... But with my track record... Reality is that if I live to be 100... I don't see this happening.

For now, I will enjoy THINKING about it and know that some of you enjoy a "lazy" day once in a while.... Enjoy!!!

With Illinois having the worst winter in 20 years, spent a lot of hours knitting. Now that Spring is here, I want to be busy outside but still wish there was enough time for stitches - want to see how the latest project will turn out.

I knit from the time I get up until I go to bed!! I retired 2 1/2 years ago. I picked up knitting again shortly after retirement and can not stop. It keeps me busy and content. I really like knitting buttons and beads into my items. I enjoy the planning and creating part before I begin to knit the piece. In my working years, all I did was work, no hobbies. I often worried I would be bored in retirement. NOT ANYMORE!! I am a knitting fool, but a happy knitting fool!!

I have to confess-- yes I do, just can't wait to get whatever it is I'm knitting finished, BUT I do live alone so I can please myself :) :)
Same here! One of the benefits of living alone. But it usually happens when I'm starting a project instead of finishing a project.
