I just purchased a hat pattern and it reads : cast on 84 sts w/ Kureyon and work 4" in Gst ending with a WS row. Would anyone know what Gst stands for?

Pretty sure Gst stands for garter stitch (knit every row).

Gst = Garter stitch = knit every row for four inches.

Unless you are knitting in the round - then you would alternate knit row & purl row.

I think it means garter stitch which is just knitting on both sides. Nopurling involved.
