Hello everyone, first question "Is there really gold in the vault?" Yes, along with many important historical documents.
I have been knitting for about five months, I am fearless I learned from videos then went and took a basic 101 class at my LYS and from a dish cloth went straight to a sweater, which has been set aside for sock knitting. As of right now I am getting ready to jump into lace knitting, and I have my eye on a neat shawl that is screaming for beads to be added to it.

My family laughs at me, I went from a sucessful cake decorating business to knitting. The wedding cake business is killer when your compatition is Walmart, so you never have a weekend where you are not delivering four to five cakes. It just got to be too much, to work a full time job, and making all those cakes on the side. Can you say four hours of sleep per night on average, very bad for your health, so that is what lead me to a non-stressful creative outlet.

I currently belong to our counties fiber arts group and we all meet every week at our local B&N, for knitting, learning, friendship, and pleanty of Starbucks, yum.

Long winded but that is my story.

((((((((( Hi, Lisa! Welcome!!

Our son did his OSUT training at Ft. Knox. I went down twice for his grad ceremonies. We drove past the Ft. Of Gold many times and toured the Paton's meusem, too.
