HI Patsee! I'm a Wisconsin knitter too - long winters make for nice knitting weather! :)
I'm near St. Croix Falls in the North West part of the state, where are you?
I'm brand-new to knitting, and have been working on a patchwork afghan for my youngest grandson. Each square is a different pattern and color. Much fun!!
your patchwork afghan sounds like it would be fun to make, is it difficult? would you be willing to share the pattern?
Hi! Someone else from Wis.I love it I'm from Rice Lake moved here from EauClaire. Igo through St. Croix falls on the way to Stillwater once in awhile. Its good to here from you!!Long winters is right...I'm pretty tired of it right now.I do have some patterns to share if needed, just let me know!

Miss Mary, I don't really have a pattern. I'm just finding different knitting stitches from books and the internet, and making a smallish square in each kind of stitch. It's a really nice way to learn how to do all this stuff! When I feel like I have enough squares, I'll whip stitch them all together with a contrasting yarn color. I'm using the colors of the rainbow, good ol' ROY G. BIV! :)

Patsee, there is a super nice yarn store in Taylors Falls, it's called Shelley's Yarn Shop. Sometime on your way through, it would be worth your time to stop in. All the staff there are super friendly, and there ALWAYS seems to be someone sitting in the lounge area, knitting something cool! Are there any yarn shops in RL, besides Bargain Bills?
Hi..Wish I could give you a long list of yarn shops here, but, there are NONE. But there is a nice one in Chetek..about 20 mins from here. Elly's Sheared Sheep..she is very helpful and friendly. I will visit the yarn shop by you one day, I love new stuff.

Hello from Wisconsin also!!! Where in Wi? I am in Hudson and two of us from this area are starting a knitting group. You are well to join if you are near Hudson. Would love to hear from you!
Hi all, am also from Wisc. In the New London area. Would you be willing to share your stained glass pattern?? Just finishing a baby blanket. 4h. in a row now. Have one more to knit. Like to have up to 5 projects going. Finishing a afghan too. That was in progress for 2 years. Also have a pink one 3/4 done, both are a ripple pattern. Sampler scarves, dish clothes, & matching hot pads. I am also a mystery reader. So am always doing something. Thanks for sharing!! :)
Hi Patsee; I'm from WI also, but further south. 50 miles north of LaCrosse and 1 mile from the Miss River. I Have been knitting for 50+ years and would be lost without my needles. My knitting goes almost everywhere with me. If you ever get into Minneapolis, you should look up Steve Be's yarn shop downtown Minneapolis. HE also has a 2nd shop in Rosemount. I've been to the one in Rosemount but not the one downtown. You you be amazed with all the yarn he has in both shops. If you get to either shop, you would be able to see some of the items I have knit for him. I do most of the knitting for items he wants to show how they look knitted up. Norita from WI
Where in WI are you located? I'm from Fredonia, WI.
Hi Patsee; I live in the small village of Cochrane. It is about 53 miles south west of Eau Claire. Norita from WI.

It's nice to here from you! Do you do knitting? Where do you get your yarn from? I go to EauClaire quite a bit, just like looking for yarn, and visiting friends.

I'm a knitaholic. I buy yarn from the fellow I knit for, from his mother, who has a yarn shop 40 miles from Cochrance and on line. I receive news letters from several yarn co's. and I'm always looking for a good deal. I buy on line when I feel I can get the yarns I like cheaper, even with the postage. Norita from WI
