Hi, can you post a link to a site if you got the pattern on line. Another area to look on the pattern instructions is to see if they have special instructions or a list of the terms and abbreviations. I usually find that after I start the pattern and run into a problem.

K2 - knit two stitches (plain) -
P2 = Purl two stitches

yo = yarn over the needle - in other words at that point you would be making an extra stitch by forming a loop over your knitting needle. Presumably further on in the pattern you would be knitting 2 together in order to once again reduce to the basic number of stitches.
