I am no math whiz but to me -1 is 0. 2x1 is 2.
And minus 1 = 1.

I will be interested to hear others opinions on this.

I think the answer is zero, too.
-1 + (2x1) is 2 -1= 1 then you have -1 so that should equal zero....IMHO

You are correct.
You do the math in the parentheses first: 2 x 1 = 2
Then you do the rest
minus one plus two minus one = 0
-1+2-1=0
