I was sitting down minding my own business, just measuring the back of a knitted cardigan, had one of the knitting needles resting in my mouth, leaned forward to get measuring tape AND wham pointed needle hit the roof of my mouth - its just stopped bleeding cant believe I did that !!!

Please do be careful. That could have been drastically more serious or even fatal.

If I don't want needles to go astray while I do something - even getting another ball of wool, I stick the needles into the ball I'm using. They are secure and no risk of hurting myself.

That's right, you should clean the area with alcohol to make sure all the germs are killed. In case you swallowed any germs, have a nice gin and tonic or something to finish them off. Repeat dosage as required.

Bad advice. Now we'll all be saying we poked ourselves in the mouth. :lol:
