Hi All Guess what I just did

I was sitting down minding my own business, just measuring the back of a knitted cardigan, had one of the knitting needles resting in my mouth, leaned forward to get measuring tape AND wham pointed needle hit the roof of my mouth - its just stopped bleeding :cry: :cry: cant believe I did that !!!

That's right, you should clean the area with alcohol to make sure all the germs are killed. In case you swallowed any germs, have a nice gin and tonic or something to finish them off. Repeat dosage as required.

I actually stabbed myself in my left breast and drew blood last week. It hurt, it never crossed my mind that my needles could actually be used as weapons.

No. But sometimes they act like it.
I was talking to my neighbour yesterday and mentioned your knitting needle incident and she told me about a similar thing she did a few years ago. One day she bent down to pick out a weed in her veggie garden and a supporting cane went straight up her nose. She said she bled like a stuck pig but luckily it didn't go very far up or do any serious damage. Ever since then she has used little protectors on the ends of her garden canes but it still makes her feel queasy to think how it could have been much more serious.
