Hi , i have been watching this forum for awhile , ive been knitting for about a year, learned from utube , and have tried some loom knitting, these mittens were knit on a loom in only 2 hours!
I also knitted this baby set for my niece's new baby

Hi Iowa !

This is Minnesota ... glad that you've joined the forum ! You do beautiful work !
Was the baby outfit done on a machine, or by hand ? .... If you did it by hand, I would love the pattern (if you care to share).

Baby Cardigan
one sz 6 months
sleeves : cast on 26 stitches, knit garter stitch until piece measures 5" (make 2)

Back: cast on 33 stitches work in garter stitch until piece measures 10"

Fronts: cast on 17 stitches , knit garter stitch until piece measures 10"

Needles Sz10 Jiffy yarn

Finishing:
matching fronts to back, sew each shoulder seam from armhole
edge towards center for 2-5 in.leaving remaining edge open , place pins 4 in. down from shoulder on front and back. center sleeve between pins and sew to body. sew in side seams and sleeve seams, weave in ends
at neck edge fold down corner 2 in. and tack in place, attach ribbon

Baby Hat
us 10.5 circular 16" needles
cast on 48 stitches and join in the round and place stitch marker
round 1: knit
round 2: purl
repeat rounds 1&2 until piece measures 3" from cast-on edge

Shape the crown:
rnd 1: work 4 , knit 2 tog; repeat from * around
rnd 2: work even and all even rounds
rnd 3: work 3;Knit 2 tog. repeat from * around
rnd 5: work 2; knit 2 tog. repeat from * around
rnd 7: work 1; knit 2 tog. repeat from * around
rnd 8: knit 2 tog. around

Finishing:
cut yarn with 15" tail , draw tail thru remaining stitches on needles, pull gently and weave in ends

Hi - I'm new too - I love the baby outfit! Is it hard using a loom? I've never tried it but am interested in learning. :)

Hi Iowa, this is Boston. You've done a fantastic job. I've been knitting for a while, but have no idea what loom knitting is. I love what you've done. Even though I've been at it for a while, I've never knit a pair of mittens - you're going to be awesome as your experience grows!!!
