Hello everyone,
I am almost 63 and have been knitting, on and off, since I was about 5 years old and have made hundreds of things. Other than a scarf, I hadn't knitted since 2002 as I went over to papercrafts (and have a craft room full of stash) but upon hearing on Jan 26th that I was to be a grandmother again this year I had the pins and wools out an hour after being told and have made many more things since then.
During the 90s I went to various meetings for sewing embroidery, beadwork and other crafting and also worked in a craft shop for a short time.
I have so many requests for more baby clothes and am also doing hats for the Christmas Shoebox Appeal on the knitting looms which I bought recently.
Fortunately, I have a big collection of handmade cards already made for birthdays, Christmas etc so am able to take a break and knit instead from my large collection of patterns going back for decades and also have some modern patterns.
Can't wait to go to the NEC next week on my birthdayto get more patterns, fortunately its only a few miles from here.
