I really enjoy knitting socks also. I'm working on a pair right now for my sister for her birthday. I've also got a lace scarf on the needles that I work on only when I have quiet thinking time. It's turning out very nice. I can't do lace work when there are very many distractions - it's too easy for me to lose my place.

Hi Grandma Laurie,
I have 2 pair of socks on needles, I alternate between them. One is just a K2,P2 rib and the other is a pattern stitch. I also have 2 scarves on needles. One is a simple garter stitch variation, but the other is a star cluster scarf from a pattern in an old (winter 99-00) Interweave Knits magazine. I love this pattern and this is the 4th scarf I have made. This one is for my daughter-in-law. (Early Christmas, 2011!!)

Hi, I am originally from Baltimore, MD and have lived in Va, N. Carolina, Indiana and Florida (for about 6 months). I have been in Cincinnati for over 30 years now and it really feels like home. All of my children and grandchildren live here, too.
