so so so happy we had insulation done on the sides of the house I do not have the AC on and probably won't the rest of this week. We are having the pool filled on Friday-----after that happens we rarely use the AC.

I just wish for sunshine in the day and rain/snow at night depending on the season....and I don't want it much hotter than about 20centigrade, but that would be just too perfect...lol

107 here yesterday....and that is just the start! We retired here 7 years ago from southern California where the temp year round is about 20 degrees cooler! The hottest since we have been here? 127 degrees!! Guess we put up with the temps 2 months or so out of the year for the other 10 months! Best temp for me? Around 80, no humidity!

Having lived in DC at one time, I know how miserable high humidity can be. And here in the Bay Area we have our "built-in" A/C most of the time. A hot spell rarely lasts more than three days before the fog comes in and cools things off.

It's only 80 degrees here but it's humid! It went from winter to summer here in Minnesota--no spring in between. But the humidity is awful. I've had the AC on, but don't feel guilty about it. That's what I do instead of going on vacation. :D
