I am knitting the Cancun top (available on Ravelry) in cotton. To get a 'nice' edge, I slipped the first stitch purlwise and the last tbl but ended up frogging as the edge stitches were too loose. I restarted knitting both the first and last stitch but not sure I am liking that any better. Would this technique work or would the edges be too blunky when sew together?

Just my opinion but i think it would be too bulky in a seam. I have not tried this technique nor made the top though.
