that spring has finally sprung. We upgraded to a fifth wheel travel trailer. I have so much more room.
We've been camping a lot and eventually hubby wants to sell the house and travel. He retires September 1st. I'm not thrilled with selling the house but he says we can get a another one after we travel awhile. And yes I'll make sure I have my crocheting and knitting along!

I had to laugh--I totally understand. 3 1/2 years ago we moved from a 2 br apartment to a 28 ft. motorhome. Tiny with LOW ceilings but my health wasn't that good so it worked well. Then 2 yrs ago this Sept. we moved into our 36 ft 5th wheel w/ 3 slide outs (the same ones yours has!). And high ceilings, did I mention high ceilings? We feel very blessed. It can get cluttered very easily so we constantly have to sort out what can go into storage or we can get rid of. And yes, I started over on my yarn stash because it was ALL in storage (we thought we'd get into a house/apartment within a couple of months).

If yours has as much storage as ours you will find lots of nooks and crannies for yarn! Hope you get to travel wherever you want to. I know I could live in it full time but not on the road full time. We spent 3 years on job sites in ours but I was so glad to be back in a house. Did beat the other 12 years I visited DH in motels ! That is a beautiful unit, I wish you many happy adventures and to meet many yarn campers!

Really lovely!
This is my ex-husband's dream come true, he's been wanting to do the same thing his entire life. Now he's over 70, remarried, and his new wife won't hear of it, LOL!
Was that mean of me to laugh?

My parents did that and traveled for several years, having the time of their lives. She managed to do quilting inside their trailer. They saved a ton of money not paying on a mortgage and purchased a lovely stand still home on land after they got the traveling bug out of their systems.

Lovely dwelling and I am envious of you.

You can always add a little trailer to pull behind with your stash in it, right? That's the only way I would agree to this arrangement. But the trailer itself is lovely!!

You are living my dream, a dream I will never get to live. We have a 22 foot motorhome with a bed over the cab. There is NO room for anything extra, but we only camp in it locally. I have always dreamed of doing exactly what you are doing, but my dh says he cannot drive anything bigger than what we have. Your 5th wheel is absolutely top of the line in my estimation. We do spend part of the winter in AZ and have a 8x35' trailer. If it had slides it would be perfect, but we are only there about 3 months so I can make do with what I have. I've been looking at 5th wheels as they are so much roomier than the trailer but can't justify the expense for short term living.

There is so much to see in both US and Canada. I'll be a fly on the wall since I can't do it myself. GOOD LUCK on this new part of your life. Enjoy it! There are lots of yarn stores along the way.. or thrift stores are a good place to buy yarn too.

I am soooo jealous! I had planned on buying a motorhome and spending my retirement criss-crossing the country. But life happened! It is not to be.

BTW - in the first picture the is something on the righthand side that looks like a stroller or bicycle?

Tricycle? Like this these? One goes on the bike rack on the back....so far mine goes in my Ford Freestyle, but we're trying to figure out a way to put on the back with the other one.
