I know it's off topic from knitting, but I need to brag a little bit here. I stitched this piece, finally finishing it in April of 2010. I was just going to leave it hanging on the wall, but my friends talked me into entering it in the Richmond County fair. Whoo-hoo! It took first place! I didn't think it was all that special, but I heard the regional EGA president saw it and even she was impressed.

what a beautiful job you did. you have every right to be proud. as for me doing cross stitch my dad's old boss and friend does cross stitch. i have gotten a few patterns from him as well. not to mention that if you are ever in London Ontario Canada we have a little store called the Thread and Eye. when you walk in and look up on the walls all you will see is breathtakingly beautiful work all done by the man who owns the store. please keep posting more of your beautiful work and i just have to say that i love your sweet little baby in your avatar.

I sat here looking at it and I just couldn't believe my eyes it is beautiful. I would also post it and be very proud of it. It is a work of art that you have done. Blue ribbon there surly must be a great reward or color for a picture and so much work like yours. Great job. Hope to see more of your wok. God Bless you. You sure have talent.
