No such row in this pattern. At least in the one by Linden Heflin. Was there another pattern? Oops! It's second across from this one on the Ravelry page. I assumed it was the same one, but with extra buttons. Sorry can't help as I don't have that pattern. :)

Oh boy, of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!

I have the front page of one pattern and somehow another page that does not match. How I got so far, .... well, forgive me but I'm just going to finish the cardi as usual since I have the leaves done. I'll just knit/pearl rows and it will turn out okay (I think - LOL) Sorry for the Senior Moment here!

Oops indeed! This is why, when the pattern itself doesn't have the pages individually labeled with the pattern name and page (number) of (total number of pages), I copy/paste it into Word and put that information in the header. When (not if) assorted pattern pages end up in a pile on the floor, it's no problem to match the right ones up again. Eventually all pages for whatever I'm putting on the needles end up in a single plastic sleeve.

And with all of my plastic pages...I use the coiled safety pins for binders. Saving the coil-less for place markers IN the knitting. Saves having to worry about dropping THAT stack!

What leaves? Am I looking at the right pictures?

The baby and baby and child patterns with big buttons both look plain to me.

Oh this is such a good idea Jessica Jean! I have so many patterns saved and had never thought of that.

I do the same thing, but I also add a "Last Printed: date; time" notation in the footer at the right margin. That way, if I've made any notes or changes since the last time I printed it, I can tell which hard copy is the most current one.

Thanks, Jessica-Jean, as always you have the most common sense ideas!! I usually hand write the page number, but from now on, I'll add the pattern name too!

The word file I've attached shows how I set up whatever I put into Word - usually patterns.

I don't need to download the two formats...you've been watching my clarifications on what formats make what file.

No, but some KPers are still running older versions of Word and are unable to open any docx; I put both so that everyone would be able to access it.

I too put 'footers' on all my multi page patterns for that very reason. One can't hope to sort out patterns if they get mixed up.

I'll bet you learned that the same way I did - the hard way! Mine was only a three-inch high stack of printouts, but there seemed to be a million patterns all scrambled when they quietly slid sideways onto the floor.;) I hadn't known how to edit the pages back then, let alone save things onto the computer or a memory-stick. What a mess! Some of them never did match up.
