I ordered a couple pair of rosewood needles a short time ago and finally got to try out a pair today. I've found a new love! I enjoy my nickel plated and Harmony wood needles, but the rosewoods are like satin. OMG! I've never felt such luxury in a pair of knitting needles. I know what to ask for Christmas when the kids ask this year!

Gee, I am asking for an Ipad. So I can keep track of my patterns and pictures better. They would never understand the importance of a great pair of needles.

I already have a tablet (DH gave it to me for Christmas last year). Since my girls like getting handmade sweaters and such, they can appreciate getting Mama a great set of needles. They're a lot cheaper than another tablet. :wink:

Never seen rosewood needles. Are they heavy? Where. Are they available?

I bought Lantern Moon rosewood circular needles in size 3 and 4. They're light as a feather and smooth as silk. Here is a URL of the site where I ordered them.

They're not cheap but worth every penny! I told DH he can buy me the whole interchangeable set for Christmas. :thumbup:

Here's another pair to put on your Christmas list if you liked the feel of the Rosewood. Try Ebony needles! Even more amazing, I think. Lantern Moon also carries them.

It's so nice to work with quality tools and yarns!! I recently bought $15 per hank yarn for socks and what a difference in how they work up and the feel is awesome. Some people thought I was crazy but it's not something I would spend normally, but after touching the yarn I NEEDED it. Some times you just have to treat yourself to some luxury!

That is so wonderful.. I have a few pairs of needles that I love for different projects.. I agree it is so nice to have a great needle... the project it so much more enjoyable..

I wish there was one nearby. The closest Hobby Lobby is 75 miles away. The nearest AC Moore is 65 miles away. :-( Did I happen to mention I live in a fairly remote location?

My Michaels here in Calgary Canada has rosewood needles and not as cheap as I have seen advertized in the U.S. other sources. I asked if there would be a possibility of trying them perhaps at a knitting class? clerk did not know - I have been knitting since I was 5 years old and never was there a period since have I not knitted. I switch to crochet in the summer or knitting cotton dishcloths and spa cloths or sew or embroider but as soon as the temperatures dip I am thinking knitting.

I've never seen those needles at JoAnn's, Micheale's or Hobby Lobby. They aren't really known for quality goods. That's sounds snotty, doesn't it?!?! I don't mean it that way, I buy from them all.

My dear children just gave me a very generous birthday gift certificate to an LEYS (that's not just a local yarn shop, that's a Local EXOTIC Yarn Shop!!!) You Twin Cities people know I'm talking about Steven Be's Yarn Garage. Whoopee!! I'm going to be checking on some rosewood needles.

Are the rosewood and ebony needles better than Addi Turbos?
I think they are the best I've ever used.

I have never seen rosewood or ebony needles in JoAnns or Michaels. I'll have to check out Hobby Lobby to see what they have. Good luck.

I don't have Addi Turbos but I do have Harmony and Options from Knit Picks. I wouldn't trade my needles but the rosewood are just pure luxury.
