I'm new to knitting and this forum. I want to knit some oval placemats for my mom. I thought it would be easy enough to find an easy pattern, so I already bought the yarn. It's just regular cotton yarn. I bought a cone of it, so I'd really like to be able to use it, preferably on placemats. I found some rectangular patterns, but I really wanted to do these in an oval shape. Any ideas?

(((((((( There are OVAL knit '''doily''' patterns to be had.

Replace your search word 'placemat' to 'doily, perhaps?
