My name is Sharfay and I'm new to this site. I have been teaching myself to knit for about 1 1/2 years but I feel like a beginner!

Looking forward to being a part of this "group" :D

Hi Queenmawmaw,

Thanks for the welcome. Where are you in Texas? I will be in League City, Tx the first part of June for surgery. Do you know if this area is large? Well, I mean a large city! I have only lived in California and really haven't travelled that much except to states around CA. We plan to do a mini vacation on the way to TX and on the way back, so we'll be seeing some of the sights.

Have you been knitting long?

I am not real sure where League City is; but I think its between Galveston and Houston. I don't think it is really big. You will have alot to see. I live in Groves which is 90 miles south east of Houston. Its a very small bedroom community that probably has more churchs than any other business. I've been knitting for 50 years. I hope what surgery you are having goes well. Feel free to PM when you get to Texas and if there is anything I can do for you.

Welcome from S. Ms. Sharfay. Many, many good people here and some are new to kntting and then there those who are extreamly talented. Some of the works I've seen looks to be professionaly done. Makes me wishfull. Una

Right on Wanda. By my mapbook, the population in League City is just over 71,000. Huge by Mississippi standards, but probably small by Texas standards.
