Thank you for the link. Plan on shawls for christmas. Have yarn and patterns. Too nervous about starting. The idea of a dishcloth sample is a great idea.
I made the dishcloth sample a couple years ago. It turned out good.
This is so great
I'm glad you like it.

I'd love to get a swift & winder. But they are so expensive. And I'm quite lucky in that my lys where we have a knit'n natter group, will wind it for us, even if we don't buy from him ( we do actually buy quite a lot from him, but not all)
It's a great shoop & group in Chelmsford, Essex.

I purchased one at JoAnn's fabrics (an electric one) and it was pricy, but I used a coupon. I love it, don't know how I lived without it! I wind all the left over yarns into a little ball and put them in a basket. When I have plenty, I will make a project with them!

I used to throw my old partially left, sad skeins of yarn in a box and eventually they were thrown away (what a waste). Now they wait in a beautifully constructed small skein if you will, awaiting that perfect project. I have done crocheting and knitting for years and this solves a problem I have had. I did weigh the purchase very carefully before I bought the electric winder because of the price, but I used a 50% off coupon so it made it a lot easier.
