Italian-Style Red Wine Steak Marinade ~ Makes 5 cups
Ready in 2-5 hrs
Made with garlic, olive oil, red wine, dried basil, dried thyme, black pepper, and onion
Ingredients
1/3 cup olive oil
1 1/2 cup red wine
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 small onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
Directions
Combine the olive oil, red wine, basil, thyme, black pepper, onion, and garlic in a zip-top plastic bag or non-reactive container.
Add the steak and let marinate in the refrigerator for 4-10 hours. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill or cook the steak as desired. Discard the marinade.
