i have been trying to make slippers on aloom. how did you change the stitch pattern on the toe part. an how do you sew the heal.? do you fold it an sew it.? than gather at the toe? thank you [email protected]
All I did for the stitches for the toe was do k1,p1 ribbing. Then to sew the heel you turn it inside out and I did the toe first. When you cast off for the toe draw the yarn tight and then I just use the left over yarn from casting off to sew up the toe and a little bit of the garter stitch. then I fold it in half and use the yarn by the heel to sew up the back. Make a pom pom and attach it.
I made those same house slippers years ago and now trying to remember pattern for my grand daughter I will try and post a picture after I finish...yours look wonderful
did you sew the heel straight up or form a t shape and then sew that? Thanks
Beautiful- and you make matching sets! I'm too impatient- my mom used to make us those pom pom slippers when I was a kid, was thinking of making some for some of the kids in my family.
lol I just sewed it so that it closed up the hole. lol

Wow, they're gorgeous. Wish I was that good.
Beautiful work! I especially love the green & white set and am looking for a pattern to make the ascot type neck scarf as it is afavorite of mine. Can you help? Thanks!
Hi Doreen,
Beautiful work! I would love to have your pattern for the slippers. They are lovely.
Thanks
Hi, I just viewed the items that you made, and they are all lovely. You have done a nice job making all of these items. Thank you for posting them.

Have you made any of the new cocoons to place a tiny baby in? I have been thinking about making one and would appreciate any input that I can receive. Thanks!

Beautiful, you do such beautiful work!!!
HOW DID YOU MAKE THE SLIPPERS ? COULD I HAVE THE PATTERN SENT TO ME ON EMAIL.
Beautiful work - As soon as I make stuff it gets claimed. "I'll take that when you finish it" Thats what I get for having 7 daughters I guess.
My Goodness, what talent you have. Everything is outstanding!!! I am new at knitting have knitted a hat and some very simple scarves. Would I be able to knit the slippers? I know that I can't tackle the scarf that has a slit in it. But I would like to attempt the slippers.Of course I would need the pattern. A God given talent.
I love your purple lopi sweater..
You do wonderful work. I hope to do those kind of things eventually. My hardest items are the pair of socks I just made, with lots of mistakes but they are so comfortable. I am starting on my second pair. Before that I only made scarfs, dish cloths, and an afgan. Well I love your sweaters they are beautiful.
Oh and I have made my granddaughter some hats.

The pattern for the slippers can be found if you google aunt maggie's slippers.
